چکیده
Two 70-day feeding trials were conducted to reevaluate the necessity of cholesterol supplementation in diets two important marine fish species, turbot and tiger puffer. Graded levels (0, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0% dry matter) added into basal diet (with 30% fishmeal but no oil) make five experimental diets, which designated as control, CHO-0.5, CHO-1.0, CHO-2.0, CHO-4.0, respectively. The dietary concentration was measured be 0.11%, 0.65%, 1.10%, 2.32%, 4.59%, Each group had triplicate tanks, each tank stocked with 30 fish. results showed that compared significant effect on growth both Nevertheless, excess (CHO-2.0 CHO-4.0) led lower weight gain puffer CHO-1.0. feed intake decreased increasing cholesterol. In general, crude lipid content liver, whereas 0.5% tended increase muscle species. Dietary significantly regulated lipid-related biochemical parameters serum, muscle, turbot, compositions a higher buffering capacity response changes level. increased 20:4n-6 liver. downregulated gene expression HMG-COAr, upregulated CYP7A1 expression, absorption biosynthesis genes, CPT1 transport-related genes (ApoA1, ApoA4, ApoB100, ApoEα) conclusion, under present condition, accumulation metabolism.

Circadian rhythm of melatonin secretion and growth-related gene expression in the tiger puffer Takifugu rubripes
Somatostatin (SS) and growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) are primary factors regulating growth hormone (GH) secretion in the pituitary. To date, it remains unknown how this rhythm is controlled endogenously, although there must be coordination of circadian manners. Melatonin was the main regulator in biological rhythms, and its secretion has fluctuation by photic information. But relations...
متن کاملRelevance of Light Spectra to Growth of the Rearing Tiger Puffer Takifugu rubripes
In fish, light (photoperiod, intensity and spectra) is main regulator in many physiological actions includinggrowth. We investigate the effect of light spectra on the somatic growth and growth-related gene expression in the rearing tiger puffer. Fish was reared under different light spectra (blue, green and red) for 8 weeks. Fish body weight and total length were promoted when reared under gree...

This study aimed to elucidate the influence of environment pH on survival, growth, energy allocation and oxidative damage of juvenile Scophthalmus maximus (19.89±0.25 g). Six pH treatments (6.3±0.2、6.8±0.2、7.3±0.2、7.8±0.2、8.3±0.2、8.8±0.2) lasting for eight weeks were included. Measurements of survival (SR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), specific growth rate (SGR), weight gain rate (WGR), energy ...
